& Sound Bath
Outdoor Restorative Yoga & Sound Bath
Join us for a deeply relaxing and restful experience in our private space on the clifftops in Newhaven. Surrounded by the sounds, sight and smells of nature and the sea helps to automatically relax our nervous system.
The Yoga
We will start with gentle movements to loosen any tension, physical, mental and emotional. Moving in a fluid way where there are no rights or wrongs, rather using this time as an exploration to how the body feels right now. This is a fantastic way to practice the skill of being in the moment.
The beautiful setting and nature itself will work with the movement and it will all weave together and enhance each others benefits.
We will then settle in to a more restorative practice, holding the positions for longer, letting the setting wash over us and aim to be completely comfortable throughout. This allows the poses to work deeply and support the body in the process of relaxing, slowing down and de-stressing.
The Sound Bath
The second part of the class it the sound bath element, which comes from the use of crystal bowls, chimes, and other instruments. These sounds are known for their healing properties and ability to promote relaxation and balance in the body. The vibrations of the instruments can help you release tension and promote a sense of inner calm.
Finish
We will then finish off with some tea and grounding snacks before entering the rest of our weekend feeling blissed out.
The Details
The class is held in Harbour Heights Community Garden, BN9 9TE. There is on-street parking nearby, I will send out directions and meet you all to make sure we find our way. The garden is a little bit uneven, so take care when walking. There is also a compost toilet to use on-site.
Come and nurture yourself with this wonderful opportunity to connect with your body, quiet your mind, and experience deep relaxation and healing.
It’s a mini retreat, you’ll emerge feeling well-rested and refreshed.
Wear comfortable clothes, preferably without any zips and bring enough clothes and a blanket to stay warm and cosy throughout. Your body temperature drops as you relax, that together with the air temperature dropping as the sun sets, means you will easily feel cold. So bring as many layers as you can, even if it’s been hot in the day.
I will provide everything else you need, mats, props etc. If you know there is something specific you would like for the yoga class, let me know and we will work it out.
It is £30 for the evening or £50 for two friends
- The evening will be suitable for absolutely all levels and ages.
