It’s the end of the week, meet us for 1.5 hours of restful bliss, followed by tea and a little treat!
Let go of your stress and worries from the week to fully enjoy your weekend afterwards. These long classes will have a clear theme in mind, some being more restorative/meditative and some might have stronger stretches.
Words I hear from participants after class are usually
I had the most wonderful sleep after the class“,
I feel like I am floating on a cloud“,
This was the first time in weeks I have been able to just switch off“,
I can’t imagine life without restorative yoga now as it has changed every aspect of it in such a profound way” & of course “I just feel amazing

Restorative yoga is a slow practice where the “goal” is to be as comfortable as possible. We will use props, like blankets, bolsters and blocks to allow our bodies to fully relax and let go of tension. The poses are generally held for 5-10 minutes and are very non-invasive. The whole experience will leave you calm, collected, relaxed and energized. And what better time to feel like that than just before the weekend?

Yin Yoga is a style of yoga where poses are held for an extended period of time usually 3-10 minutes. In what can be called “Yang Yoga” (any type of Hatha, Vinyasa etc) we try to warm the body up to stretch and strengthen the muscles. In Yin Yoga, we do the opposite, by staying in the poses for several minutes the body and muscles remain cool. This gives us an opportunity to stretch and strengthen the ligaments and joints. It works deeply on the connective tissues (the fascia) which can give a strong sensation of length and stretch in the body. Unlike in restorative yoga, there can sometimes be a sense of discomfort (however, we never want pain in yoga) and that’s where we get an excellent opportunity to train our mind in how to relax. This training turns our awareness inwards and quite quickly we feel empowered by being in control over how we react, feel and breathe.

The benefits of restorative, yin yoga and meditation are scientifically proven, and include:

  • Stimulates the meridians (energy channels) which brings balance to the organs in the body
  • Improves flexibility and joint mobility
  • Calms and balances the mind and body
  • Reduces stress and anxiety
  • Works deeply on the connective tissues (fascia, tendons and ligaments)
  • Learning to let go of your stress
  • Trim fat and lose weight
  • Boosting your immune system
  • Balancing your nervous system
  • Quieting your mind
  • Recovering from illness
  • Healing emotional pain
  • Introduction to a meditation practice

Give yourself a chance to fully enjoy your weekends without the residue stress from the week!
