Yoga & Sauna

Yoga & Sauna

Join us for a complete wellness event

Upcoming dates:
Spring Equinox Sauna & Breathwork Evening – Thursday 20th of March
Sauna & Breathwork Morning – Saturday 12th of April

I have the absolute fortune to know and collaborate with, the wonderful Kindred Sauna. Currently located at Knepp, the rewilding farm in West Sussex, RH13 8NN.

We usually run a variety of events with different themes. Some of them are held in the morning, for a quick boost for the day, others in the evening for a deeper release and some are full day events for a complete reset. To find out more about the next event, please have a look via the links above or send me an email for more info.

But either way, they all include:

  • A strong focus on holistic wellbeing
  • Mindful Movement
  • Breath Exploration
  • Sauna
  • Wild Spa
  • Cold Plunges

The Yoga
The style of yoga will depend on the type of event. You can find out more about my general teaching style here. There will probably be a focus on grounding, really connecting to ourselves, body and mind. Lengthening the muscles, releasing tension and feeling good in general. I will also introduce a few different breathing exercises to regulate our nervous system. Perfect to ease tension both from the body and mind to set us up for the sauna.

If its a longer event then there will be a slower practice at the end, restorative yoga and yoga nidra, which will beautifully tie it all together. This set up really allows us to marinate in and absorb all the benefits from our time together; the movement, the breathing, the stillness, the views, fresh air, heat and cold.

The Sauna
The sauna is wood fired and will be heated to around 80°c which is a wonderful temperature that we tend to be able to handle a little bit longer without feeling uncomfortable. Meaning that we can reap more of the wonderful benefits that the heat brings.

To cool down, there is a wild swim option or a cold shower to use

Kindred Sauna also provides various treats, such as sauna hats, clay masks, tea, leaf whisking and aroma therapy that will vary depending on season and event.

These event fill my heart with joy and feel so special, blending all things wellness into one event, leaving us feeling so nourished. So everyone who shows an interest really makes me so happy!

Anna
Loved the sauna and yoga session with Ylva! So rejuvenating to be outside in the fresh air doing yoga and wonderful having the sauna to warm up afterwards. Thank you

Renske
Absolutely loved the outdoor yoga and sauna session, it was 0 degrees when we started and I was dreading it but it was very life affirming with a lovely yoga class and a wonderful sauna session afterwards. I came by myself but everyone was easy to talk to and I had a wonderful time. Thank you 🙏🏼

Vania
I spent a beautiful sunny morning with Ylva and 5 others, doing gentle yoga outdoors in the South Downs. We then had a sauna & plunged into cold water (which I vowed not to do, but ended up doing 3 times… ;)). Everything was very well organised. It was just what I needed.

Katie
Absolutely love Ylva’s classes. I appreciate that she finds beautiful outdoor locations and weaves in nature through swims / saunas. Always come away feeling refreshed and reconnected.

Helen
Lovely Retreat with Ylva on Friday. 10-4pm of beautiful yoga. Meditation, back bends, sauna and plunge pool. Can’t wait for the next one. Thank you xx

Anna
I recently joined a beautiful yoga retreat held by Ylva at the Knepp Estate in Sussex. It was the most gorgeous, nourishing day. I floated away feeling rested, peaceful and full of gratitude.
It was amazing to have the space to do exactly what we each needed. I even got a nap! I was so grateful to be a part of Ylva’s wonderful day, and definitely plant to re-visit again next year
